Fit and Healthy?

The importance of keeping fit and healthy should not have failed to gain everyone's attention, and yet, so many people take little or no exercise at all. Combined with a bad diet, this has short as well as long term consequences.

Short term consequences may be something as simple as a poor diet affecting teeth, which might then need replacing all on 4 implants. Long term consequences might be severe obesity due to overeating and not taking exercise, which might also lead to serious illness and then even death.

When put in black and white terms like this, it is surprising that people still let themselves get to the state where things like this happen. If you do not want to be one of these people though, here are a few tips.

The first thing is to adopt a healthy diet. This means eating foods which are low in fats and sugars wherever possible, and taking in more fruits and vegetables. In addition, if you are trying to lose weight, then it is important to burn off more calories than you consume during a day.

This brings us on to exercise. Even moderate exercise such as a thirty minute walk three times a week can have a noticeable difference on fitness levels and also a person's energy and outlook on life. Finally, if you smoke it's time to quit!
